Rental Technical Supervisor

We offer sales, training, rental, repair and finance services to the professional production community with offices in NY, CHI and LA. Our facility in Burbank, CA is currently seeking a Rental Technical Supervisor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, hard working individual to participate in our exciting and fast paced company.

This key position will encompass the following responsibilities: 

  • Perform thorough technical check and quality control of equipment and lenses for physical damage, scratched elements and mechanical flaws.
  • Thoroughly clean and check equipment for proper electronic operation and mechanical function upon return of rental.
  • Supervise and train Rental QC Technicians
  • Coordinate QC allocation to Rental QC Technicians
  • Address technical inquiries prior to prep/pickup
  • Responsible for appearance and organization of Rental Equipment Room 
  • Provide knowledgeable technical assistance to clients as needed
  • Coordinate with Rental Prep Techs on specific job logistics as necessary
  • Coordinate with Rental Agents and Rental Manager / Operations Manager on large jobs with specific technical needs
  • Manage prep times and communicate wait times to Prep Techs and Rental Agents
  • Assist Rental Coordinator with packaging new equipment and kit contents
  • Assist floor technicians with checkout technical questions and customer service and see the issues through to completion

Requirements for the successful applicant:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant rental house experience required
  • 5+ years of experience as a Rental QC Tech with supervising experience
  • Experience and knowledge with digital cinema cameras, lenses, and accessories (digital, electronic, mechanical, and others)
  • Technical proficiency with camera gear compatibility & troubleshooting
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively supervise, coordinate and work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to smoothly adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to supervise the day to day needs of the QC team
  • Extreme focus on accuracy, attention to detail, consistency and follow-through of work
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Proactive attitude with exceptional ability to problem solve
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, high energy with a willingness to accept varied assignments
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in team setting
  • Ability to lift 70lbs

This is a full time, salaried position.
