AbelCine is a full service equipment and technology provider to the broadcast, production and new media industries. We offer sales, finance, training, rental, integration and tech services to our professional customer base with offices in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. We are currently seeking an experienced, part time Art Director to join our Marketing team.  This position will work in conjunction with our Senior Art Director and bring their own creative flair and experience to the role. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, hard working individual to participate in our exciting and fast paced company.

 

This position would encompass the following key responsibilities: 

 

  • Oversee and produce the creation of all visual material for AbelCine: including print, event promotion & signage, display, packaging, photography, advertisements, online presence & video content
  • Develop and maintain company brand
  • Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience
  • Work within the Marketing department to translate marketing and branding strategies
  • Cooperate with the creative team across various types of media, such as print, digital, social and video
  • Style video and branded content
  • Generate clear ideas, concepts and layouts
  • Communicate and collaborate with copy writers, photographers and videographers as necessary
  • Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines

 

 Successful applicants must possess the following attributes:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in an art, fine arts or design
  • 5 years experience as a designer/ art director / creative with a proven portfolio
  • 3+ years in the Industry and with a variety of clients
  • Knowledge of print broadcast and digital communications
  • Hands on experience with logo design, typography, color, web layout, print production,  image selection and package design
  • Proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite, in particular  InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects
  • Team player with good communication, problem solving and project management skills who is capable of working with a team
  • Cinema, broadcast, communications or media industry related field experience and fundamental knowledge of production
  • Experience with photography  and UI development are a plus
  • Ability to incorporate feedback and take direction 
  • Ability to work within budgets and deadlines

 

This is a part time position with a 24 hour weekly commitment. The schedule can be flexible on as needed basis.
